EMU: Annual CPI-Core at 1% in September

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - According to preliminary data released today by Eurostat, Eurozone annual inflation rose 1% in September, following 1.1% growth registered the previous month. This result is slightly lower than analysts' forecasts of +1.1%.

Year-over-year Eurozone CPI rose 1.1% in September, down from +1.3% in August and below consensus of +1.2%.

Troika inspectors suspend bailout talks

After a week of bailout talks with Greek officials EU, ECB and IMF inspectors left Athens on Sunday, suspending the negotiations for the time being. They said in a statement that they have “made good progress” and that they would resume the talks soon.
